There are only 3 ways of getting around Koh Phi Phi, either by longtail boat, walking or bicycle as there are no roads on the island, only footpaths leading down to secluded beaches.

Tonsai village is the bustling heart of  Koh Phi Phi. Here you will find all the shops, a wide choice of restaurants, nightlife, Banks & ATM's. Please note some smaller hotels on Koh Phi Phi only accept cash as a method of payment.

The beaches are some of the world's best, silky soft white sand and the turquoise water are breathtakingly beautiful. Almost all are totally enclosed and with shallow water that get warmed by the sun, to almost the temperature of a warm bath.

The best way to explore the stunning coastline is to hire a kayak and meander past the stunning limestone monoliths and weave in and out of secluded coves & mangrove inlets, don't forget to take snorkelling equipment & cameras. A must do, during your stay is to take a long tail boat to Maya bay on the next island Phi Phi Leh, this is where the blockbuster movie "THE BEACH" was filmed.
For the more energetic, most hotels offer windsurfing as well as diving trips to some of the best dive sites in the world. Also, snorkelling trips to other small islands to see the huge coral gardens surrounding Phi Phi can be arranged. Rock climbing is also a popular pastime on the island.

Another must do while on the island of Koh Phi Phi is to head towards the viewpoint in the early evening to watch the wonderful sunset.
